Ok so besides having BBQ for lunch on Fridays we have been very busy here at GTChannel. We've been uploading a new clip almost everyday recently.
At the beginning of the week we started off with some fun stuff we shot at Willowsprings a while back. As we were shooting the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution SE teaser, we had some time so we had pro Indy car driver Roger Yasukawa go out on a time attack in a Mitsubishi Outland Sport. Then have Alicia Whitten try to beat his time in the Evo SE we had up there. Alicia put up a great fight but she couldn't beat Roger. She wants a re-match though.
Since we really didn't have a lot of time to edit these pieces, we slapped them together and decided to call them GTChannel "virals". Anything we think our viewers would enjoy but we can't edit down in detail or time sensitive material will be uploaded as "virals" from now on. We got on a roll and shot some more extra stuff that day like Daijiro Yoshihara drifting the Outlander Sport. Watch out for these pieces.
Next we uploaded a video on the Honda CR-Z and collaboration with GT5. Both companies are good friends of GTChannel and the video features no other than my homie, Taku Imasaki, King of Nightlife so I just had to post it up on GTChannel. He returned the favor by posting a picture of me standing like a dork with a camera behind Adrian Grenier at the GT5 party in Beveryly Hills.
After that we posted American Touge 3 Preliminary Rounds from BMI. This was our last American Touge we conducted in the US but got me thinking that we've got to start this thing up again. Hmmm? I gotta find a way to pay Tsuchiya and Orido to get back out here. If anyone is interested in sponsoring just hit me up!
Then we did Gan-san's S2000 prototype attack at the Nurburgring. This old clip was included in our first ever DVD we released in the US back in 2003 and put the Best Motoring name on the map. What's crazy is that he's got no helmet and driving with leather business shoes with tassles.
Finally last night we uploaded a video clip of the new Subaru Impreza WRX STI. The hatchback is cool but they decided to bring back the 4 door STI. I'm not too crazy about the design but it looks like a hell of a car. I gotta get in one soon.
